AZPM
At Arizona Public Media I worked as an intern for the News Radio desk. I worked directly with the News Director and several reporters. During my time I was able to pitch, write, and produce my own pieces that aired and were published to their website. Several of the pieces can be found on my portfolio page. I gained experience with Adobe Audition, radio scripts, and voice work through this internship.
UATV
I began working at UATV as a freshman in college, where I began anchoring and producing packages within a couple of weeks. My sophomore and junior year I resided on the E-board first as the News Director then as the Executive Producer. I anchored, managed social media accounts, produced packages and did live shots. Both positions allowed me to manage a team of reporters, assign packages, and work on scripts and rundowns.
Arizona Daily Star
At the Arizona Daily Star I worked as an apprentice on the metro desk. I produced several stories throughout the semester, some featured under my portfolio, mostly focusing on the legal system. The stories I wrote and the individuals I interviewed helped me discover an interest in the criminal justice system and those it affects. I produced two stories about legal clinics that operated on a city level and on a university sponsored level.
